The evangelism ministry started as high school ministry under mission department in TTUCU with the aim of encouraging high school students by speaking the good news to them, giving them hope and eventually winning their souls to Christ. The High school grew stronger with time and it started local churches until July 2015 when the name changed from high school ministry to Evangelism ministry due to increased grace of reaching more people apart from the students. Therefore the ministry expanded its territories to churches, Universities and colleges. The aim of which was to win more souls to Christ.
At the beginning of this semester I was given leadership of the ministry as an acting leader and later I was nominated as the leader. I have seen the Lord continually grow the ministry since we started as thirty members at the beginning this semester and now we have increased to about fifty .Participation in the ministry affairs like prayers, meetings, missions and the porridge project has increased as members receive more grace to serve.
We have involved ourselves in these activities in this semester: We have been having missions every fortnight to Josa and twice per weak to T.I.S and Mrabenyi secondary. We also held a mission at Kirutai PEFA church instead of high school rally because the school were closed by then following the national teachers strike. We recently held door to door mission in the TTUC hostels during the Evangelism weak. Lastly we have been cooking porridge every Sunday morning to raise cash to support ministry missions.
The Lord has blessed us abundantly and now we have been given the motto, mission, vision and slogan all for the Glory of His Name.
